On the 8th of Sept, our second day in Paris, we woke up around 6am to have breakfast at the hotel basement. It was a cosy restaurant situated in the basement. Though it was not a very big hotel, we enjoyed our breakfast. There were scrambled egg, hams, cheese, cereals, few kinds of bread, yogurt, fruits, coffee, tea & milk. I don't even eat so much for breakfast in Singapore. After breakfast we headed off to the nearest Metro to meet out Taiwan Bridal makeup artist & photographer who rented an apartment at the Chinatown area in Paris. It was like about 20 stations away from our hotel. This time the train was still not that packed because it's a sunday. According to our driver who send us to the hotel, Sunday is a non working day for Paris unless of course for food industry. Again the train was pretty smooth & within 30 mins we have reached our destination. Even though the train was not that packed but the seats of the cabin that we have boarded were full. To my surprised, a gentleman stood up & offer his seat for me. Many people did not noticed i am pregnant ever since i got pregnant in Singapore but people noticed it when i was in oversea. as we enjoy our travelling in the metro , we also noticed people sleeping at the metro stations & sometimes there will be people coming in to the train to ask for money. There were vending machines selling tibits, sandwiches, drinks & coffee and also water cooler available in most of the metro stations. Before we noticed, we have arrived at our destination.
Our photographer was waiting for us at nearby and brought us to their apartment. The apartment was quite well equipped especially the kitchen, with oven and toaster. About 2 hours of makeup & dressing up, we headed out for our photography in their rented 6 to 7 seater car. We were quite lucky that day as the weather was pretty good. In the morning shoot, even though i was wearing gown without any jacket, i did not feel very cold. There was occasional bright sun with no rain at all. Along the way on our photoshooting, we met a few wedding couples taking their wedding shots too. We believe most of them are french. At some point of the shooting, we also feel like we are like "superstars" as there were many tourists around start taking pictures of us using their camera. It was quite a memorable moment for us. There was one time we went to a Chinese restaurant to change gown & hairstyle and there was once we did it in public on a pretty quiet street of course. By around 5 pm, both of us were quite exhausted but we wanted some night shots and so the photography crew brought us to a cafe restaurant to have a cup of coffee and to rest. We bought a cup of coffee and rested in the restaurant. As i walked to the cafe restaurant's toilet, i was surprised that the doors were locked and there was a coin slot at the door. A french lady came out of the toilet & when she saw me waiting for the toilet, she quickly shut the toilet door and ordered me to put coin in the door slot. Her gesture cause my urge to turn to unhappiness. It was our first encounter with restaurant not allowing customer to use their toilets and the lady made it worse. Therefore my husband and i went out to look for free toilet along the river side as we remember walking pass on the other day. I was not willing to put in my coins for that particular toilet due to that lady's & the cafe restaurant's staffs' behavior. By the time we came back it was almost 7.30pm, we headed towards the Louvre Museum to take our night shots. In Paris, the sky will usually be complete darkness around 8.30pm onwards. By that time, there was very strong wind and the temperature begin to decrease compare to the afternoon. There were other wedding couples there to take their night shots too. As i was only wearing a night gown where the shoulders were not covered with any cloth at all, my husband had to occasionally removed his jacket for me to put on. After taking for about 30mins, we left and went to a underground carpark to get change to our own clothes. As i was pregnant i did not want to be shivering for too long. After that, the photography team drop us at the nearest Metro station & we took the Metro back to our hotel. When we reach our hotel, we have a great bath & rested early as we have planned to visit the La Ville Village the next day.
