Sharing our free & easy honeymoon experiences in Europe from 6Sept13-21Sept13- Day 2 in Milan (12Sept)

On the 12Sept13, we woke up around 7am, had our breakfast at the hotel and went out. The breakfast for this hotel have got more variety of cakes and brownies. The normal coffee also taste not bad. This is the only hotel that we were requested to pay for tips of 5euro per day each person upon checkout. The only thing which was less convenient was we have to deposit our things at the reception before we go out as the room's deposit box was claimed to be spoiled. After breakfast we walked to the Metro to take train to coach station to take the coach that will bring us to the Fidenza Village for shopping. As it was still early when we reached there, we went to have a look at the Castello Sforzesco, the castle that many tourists will visit. We took some photos on the outside and decided to come again the next day to visit the inside of the castle as we will only be leaving Milan on 14Sept13 afternoon. On our way to the coach station, we met a guy who came shaking his hands with us & his hands were carrying some colourful strings. After saying Hi , he tied the strings to my husband's wrist and use his nailcutter to cut the string near the knot. He does the same for me too. We thought it was a gesture of welcoming the tourists. Shortly after he did that he request us to pay him some Euro money and said that the strings were already cut so we have to pay. I was shocked and my husband pretended he could not speak any of his language and we slowly moved away from him. Luckily he did not persist further as we walked quickly to the coach station. We quickly use a pair of scissor to cut off the strings in the coach station and threw them in the dustbin. As we were taking photos at the Castello Sforzesco, we found a group of them gathered there also selling other stuffs like hats. We were lucky we do not have his strings with us anymore by that time and there were many tourists around therefore they did not approached us. After finish taking photos we walked back to board the coach that will take us to the Fidenza Village. This time the journey is slightly longer as it took the coach about an hour to reach the Fidenza Village.
It was similar to the La Villee Village in Paris but there are slight difference in the brands sold at two places. We did some shoppings too with our VIP discount cards. Then we had our lunch at a cafe eating mini Pizzas and drinking smoothies. There was also some shopping outlets nearby the Fidenza Village for people to shop more. By the time we finished our shopping it was about 6 pm and we took the coach back to the coach station. We went back straight to the hotel after that and had a good rest as the next day we will be visiting the Castello Sforzesco.
